Stonehaven Beer Festival

From http://iansaleadventures.blogspot.com/

Quick trip down to the Stonehaven Real Ale Festival last night. Good crowd there, but not as ridiculously busy as I suspect it may be tonight. The downstairs bays are handily sorted geographically and this is the selection in the programme:

This year, it's not just real ales - in the upstairs "Jetton" bar, there's a selection of kegged, craft beers, mostly Belgian:

The other small innovation is the shape of this year's festival glass:

As was pointed out to me by our beer tasting supremo, Mr. Jones - who was in good form last night - this affords the punter the opportunity of holding the glass by the stem and thus not unduly warming the beer with your hand - assuming the beer's at the right temperature, of course.

There's a constantly revolving line-up of musical entertainment too:

Well done to Robert and his team - another huge success. Enjoy if you're going tonight or tomorrow.
