Out and about ales

From http://iansaleadventures.blogspot.com/

Made an all too rare trip to the Redgarth Inn last Tuesday. Landlord was on with Pivo Estivo - not seen as often as I would like round here - and a new one for me was Phipps IPA (4.2%) - and very nice it was too. Hadn't seen or tried any Phipps (http://phipps-nbc.co.uk/) ales before, but I'll certainly look out for it in future.

Travelled through to Grantown-on-Spey on Sunday and sampled the best Wildcat I've ever tasted in the Ben Mhor (http://www.benmhor.co.uk/). Have to be a bit careful with it, however - at 5.1% it can bite back! We were staying at the Grant Arms, but, unfortunately, they'd run out of Trade Winds the night before and didn't have another cask ready to put on.

Back in Deeside, the Boat Inn, Aboyne had Deeside's No.3 on, plus Ossian, whilst the Douglas had the usual Deuchar's, a Deeside ale (No 3) plus Ruddles County.

This weekend's Deeside Piper had a big advert about the re-opening of the Aberdeen Arms in Tarland:

No mention of whether real ales will continue or not - need to check it out sometime.

The Piper also had Rob's advert for this Friday's beer festival:

Looking forward to it!
