Meanwhile, back on Deeside, ales supped this weekend included:

• Learney - Okells Spring Ram - don't often see Okells ales in this neck of the woods - and Independence
• Stag - Hobgoblin - also a long time since we've seen this one round here
• Douglas - Deeside's new Beltane, plus the usual Deuchar's and one more which I've now forgotten!

This week's adventures are likely to include a return trip to Scott Skinner's to check if my last visit, when the ale was palatable, was a fluke or not.
