Quick golf trip to St Andrews on Friday merited a couple of pints in Whey Pat, the best of which by far was Skinner's Betty Stog's - definitely amongst my favourites.
Back in Banchory, the first sighting of one of the Burnside ales was in the Douglas Arms - Wild Rhino it was. It seemed to go down OK with most of the locals, but more popular was Caledonian's Mellow Yellow, which is labelled as a "Harvest Ale" - a harbinger of autumn.
Banchory golf club had 2 different Black Sheep ales on this weekend - the traditional Black Sheep and Golden Sheep - first time I'd seen this round here.
