Banchory Beer Festival

It was our first appearance at a Banchory Beer Festival, having been on holiday at the previous ones. We chose Sunday afternoon, avoiding the Friday and Saturday madness. Good choice - it was Family Day and the sun shone. Bands played in the main marquee and there was still plenty of ale left.

Plastic glasses as it was largely an outdoor gig next to the rugby fields and Woodend Barn. £10 entry fee, booked in advance, which included two beer vouchers (2 half pints). Tokens in operation - £10 for 5, equivalent to £4/pint. All beers priced the same, except for Dark Island Reserve (10%), for which two tokens were required.

Separate marquees for Prosecco and Gin/Rum. How very Banchory.

Apparently 1,000 attended on Friday night with another 1,400 on Saturday, with Saturday afternoon being the busiest by far. Sunday afternoon, by comparison, was very pleasant - easy to get served and lots of family friendly stuff going on.

Here's some shots I took:

Nice day out - we'll be back next time.
