Weekend beers in Deeside

From http://iansaleadventures.blogspot.com/

Nothing too exciting or exotic this weekend - the Douglas Arms in Banchory had Macbeth, Deuchar's and Abbott on, whilst the Learney Arms in Torphins had what was called "Nessie" plus an excellent pint of Ossian's.

Banchory golf club yet again had Davenport's Summer Storm (3.7%) and my first sight of a Ryder Cup themed beer - Dark Horse's Birdie (4.3%):

I was a little disappointed in Birdie - I couldn't quite make up my mind whether the beer was ever so slightly sour, or whether it just had an unusual flavour - anyone else tried it?
