Johnstone, Renfrewshire

From http://iansaleadventures.blogspot.com/

On a quick visit to Renfrewshire, went back to what used to be called Coanes in Johnstone High St. It's just changed hands - the sign above the entrance has been removed but the new one hasn't been put in yet - it looks a bit like a bomb-damaged Beirut from the outside. Apparently, it's going to be re-titled Calum's (or something similar) - and will return to being an owner managed pub.

The good news is that the 7 hand pumps are still there - and five of them were operational on Wednesday:

They're all in good nick - a nice little oasis in an area not renowned for its ale.
