Banchory beers

From http://iansaleadventures.blogspot.com/

Legion on Monday - Fuller's Hock and Director's.

Golf club Wednesday - York Growler and Adnam's Bitter.

No Deeside ales on at the golf club just now - the first time for a while. The Burnett, however, continues to only sell Deeside beers on its one hand pump at a very competitive price (£2.60?) - although the quality there is invariably poor - I've told Rob and he's going to see if there's anything he can do to help.

This year, I won't be organising a bus from Banchory to the Festival on Friday night due to lack of local demand. We've been filling buses to and from the festival for over 20 years, but the combination of the forced change of date from November to June, plus the huge crowds that were there last year on the Friday night that caused the inevitable crushes and slow service, meant that most of the Banchory regulars are either not going at all this year or are changing the times when they go. The former is disappointing but the latter is exactly what Richard would want to hear, I think.

I rather suspect Thursday may be busier this year, and certainly Friday late afternoon/early evening seems to be the time most favoured by some of the local crowd - that way they can all use standard service buses - with free bus passes for most of us!
